Book Week Celebrations

  • Start: 14/09/2017 9:00 AM
  • End:14/09/2017 3:00 PM
Location: Classrooms/Library

Each year across Australia, learners of all ages celebrate Children’s Book Week. During this time schools, libraries, booksellers, authors, illustrators and children all come together to celebrate Australian children’s literature.
During this inspirational time, we are reminded of the importance of reading and its impact on how our children live, learn, and grow. It’s a cause for all of us to celebrate!
Logan Village State School will be celebrating Book Week in Week Ten of this term.
We will be hosting our annual Book Week Costume Parades on Thursday 14th September.
The Junior parade will begin at 9.15am, and the senior parade will begin at 10.00am.
Our year levels are organising special ideas for costumes this year around the theme ‘Escape to Everywhere’.
Our classes will be buddying up on this day to share their favourite books, and a little bit of a
picnic, with some new friends. Keep an ear to the ground for more information from your class teachers as the date approaches.
We look forward to you joining in the fun and festivities!
